Hello Serino/Coyne team,
I would be thrilled to bring my decade of extensive media production experience to build on the success and contribute to the continued growth of Serino/Coyne as your new Senior Broadcast Producer.
As a broadcast, digital media, and live events producer, I have created, planned, and executed major talent-driven projects for multiple platforms; details — as well as a demo reel — are available here on my website.
Producing CBC’s New Year's Eve shows — the network’s highest-rated entertainment TV special for the past seven consecutive seasons — I curated, negotiated, and coordinated a large roster of talent and guests from the worlds of entertainment, sports, news, and politics. I also spearheaded all online and social media components, booked crew and locations across the country, and promoted and marketed the show to traditional and digital media outlets.
I wrote and produced original branded content to promote audience engagement for multi-platform programming and corporate initiatives, including the Olympics and the Canadian Screen Awards (hosted by Martin Short). Recently, I produced a 52-episode series with the Just For Laughs Festival for Kevin Hart’s new forthcoming digital VOD platform, the Laugh Out Loud Network.
Most importantly, I support and follow Broadway with all the excitement and fervor normally associated with major-league sports teams, and I am actively involved in theatre as a director, musical director, composer, and producer. I have performed in concerts and cabarets across North America, and I directed the Canadian premieres of the musical High Fidelity and the controversial Jerry Springer the Opera. I have also contributed theatre reviews for the Toronto Star, and co-produced live concerts starring Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown at the Glenn Gould Studio.
I work quickly, professionally, and economically, with strong attention to detail and quality. My previous collaborations with sales and marketing teams make me especially well-equipped at creating and developing great partnerships with sponsors and clients, and my successful track record translates to real, measurable results. I know Serino/Coyne would benefit from my commitment, dedication, and passion for celebrating talent, engaging the public, and creating and sharing fun and compelling content for large audiences.
I am extremely interested in this opportunity and look forward to discussing it with you.
Thanks very much,
Mark Selby
